At the Lodge of St. Lawrence which met in Ashburton on Friday 6th May, W. Bro. William (Bill) Vincent was Installed into the Chair of King Solomon by W. Bro. Trevor Wilson in an exemplary manner.

But what made this installation meeting rather unique was Bill. He first went into the chair of St. Lawrence in 2018 having been initiated 40 years earlier in a lodge in Sutton Surrey. Not many would pluck up the courage after so many years, but now going back into the chair for a second time is quite something when you learn that Bill was shot during a bank raid when he was a security guard in London and has been left with severe disabilities.

Bill was recognised by the PGM after his first Mastership when he was promoted to PPrAGDC and is a perfect example of what a Freemason should be.

The Festive Board was held in the refectory shortly after the ceremony and was one of the best meals experienced in many years.
