6677 denis brincombeCongratulations to W.Bro. Denis Brinicombe, PPrJGW who celebrates 50 years in Freemasonry.

On Monday 18 December 2017, I visited All Souls Lodge No. 6677 in Castle Street, Tiverton, to present W.Bro. Denis Brinicombe, PPrJGW our Provincial Grand Master’s certificate marking W.Bro. Denis having served fifty years as a Freemason on that very evening.

The Lodge business having been completed, the Lodge then closed, and the ladies and prospective candidates were invited into the lodge to listen to the presentation, W.Bro. Denis has spent all his fifty years in masonry playing the organ for his own and many other lodges and orders and in particular has been the Provincial Grand Organist for the Province of Devonshire for sixteen years - a wonderful achievement.

I was able to speak at length of W.Bro. Denis’s Masonic and family life which has been very full and continues as such to the present day. I was pleased to have had the company of Rt.W.Bro. Michael Penny, our past Provincial Grand Master, who was initiated into All Souls Lodge No. 6677 in 1971 by his father W.Bro. R D M Penny, and he very much wanted to support Denis and All Souls Lodge No. 6677 on this special evening.

In presenting the certificate I brought the greetings and best wishes of our Provincial Grand Master Rt.W.Bro. Ian Kingsbury and my own congratulations. All responded with loud applause.

Denis thanked me for the way I had researched and presented the certificate, remarking where have those fifty years gone? All then retired for an excellent Christmas festive board and carols which were enjoyed by all, ending yet again another very happy Masonic evening.
