1486 jeremy wilks 50 yearsOn Monday 4th December 2017, I visited Duncombe Lodge No. 1486 to present our Provincial Grand Master's Certificate to Brother Jeremy Wilks marking his having been a Freemason for fifty years.

I spoke of his family and working life explaining that owing to his working in the Merchant Navy he had been unable to attend the Lodge has he would have wished but now retired, he is progressing through the offices and holds the office of Senior Deacon. The Lodge was very busy, there being a fraternal visit from Estuary Lodge No. 7009 and also friends of Jeremy were in attendance, having travelled from Bideford.

The brethren had also witnessed an excellent seconded degree ceremony, and after the presentation, I brought to Brother Jeremy the best wishes and congratulations of the Provincial Grand Master Rt. WBro. Ian Kingsbury. The brethren gave their appreciation with loud applause and Brother Jeremy thanked me for the way in which I made the presentation.

All then retired for an excellent Festive Board ending another happy Masonic evening.
