Have you or your lodge done something worthy of being included on the Provincial website? If the answer is yes then please consider sending the appropriate information to one of the following people...

solo630Baz Gray, a serving Warrant Officer in the Royal Marines who is about to be Initiated in to Royal Marines Plymouth Lodge 9528, after an illustrious 26 year career in the Royal Marines aims to break the record for completing the Solo 630 mile South West Coast Path by crossing the finish line in under 10 days. Baz hopes to raise £10,000 for the armed forces charity The Baton, of which Baz is a trustee.

It will be the last of Baz’s fundraising endurance challenges, previously Baz raised money with a 24-hour non-stop skiing marathon in -30 temperatures, a 1000 mile roller-ski from John O’Groats to Land’s End, and a 176-mile 48-hour non-stop trek on the coast path between Poole and Lympstone and back. He is one of only two men who’ve successfully re-enacted Shackleton’s heroic voyage from Elephant Island to South Georgia.

He hopes to get a 1000 members of the public to join him or by offering accommodation at each night stop as he makes his way along the route from Minehead to Poole starting on the 25th April and hopefully finishing before 10am on Thursday 5 May.

You can follow Baz on social media and you can donate at: or buy the T-shirts, available soon at: and The Baton:
