Have you or your lodge done something worthy of being included on the Provincial website? If the answer is yes then please consider sending the appropriate information to one of the following people...

W.Bro John Speak of The Lord Roborough Lodge 5789 decided to arrange a charity motorcycle ride from John o' Groats to Lands End for the MCF & Grand Superintendents funds.

After re-scheduling the ride from May, we finally set off on Saturday 24th August and took over a day and a half to get to John o' Groats a hard slog, and by motorways that is nearly 900 miles.

On reaching John o' Groats we sorted the bikes out and the support vehicle. We then had a good evening meal and a couple of beers as an anaesthetic for the morning!!

The weather was set to be fair and once the early heavy mist cleared we took some photographs and we were off on our adventure.

Start at John o' Groats
Finish at Lands End

Thanks go to W Bro Richard Nankivell of my Lodge, The Lord Roborough, who sorted our main backup vehicle out for the trip. Also to my old commando buddy Bob, one of the drivers and Rich, another friend of Rods and mine and who made the journey a lot safer and stayed with us throughout the journey and really made companionship the order of every day. Also, to Rod my fellow journeyman who enjoyed the trip and its success and which as masonry does enhances friendship and harmony as time goes on.

Lastly thank you Lodges Roborough, Fidelity, and St George for outstanding donations, and to every individual Brother and donator to this our Festival Funds and Grand Superintendent's Fund, as without your support it would not have made the trip anywhere near as fulfilling as it was.

We covered 1,026 miles on the trip over 7 hard riding days on these bikes and raised £1,400+ which was split between £900 to our MCF Festival 2023 and £500 to our Grand Superintendent's fund. A wonderful and exciting journey raising funds for Charity.

W.Bro John Pritchard, Festival Events Manager, would like to congratulate John for raising a total of £1,400 for his two charities while riding safely and adhering to all speed limits to complete this worthy task.

Many congratulations!!!
