Devonshire Freemasons continue the long association with the RNLI.
The Freemasons and the RNLI have a long association going back to 1871 with the provision of a lifeboat at North Berwick. Over the years 14 lifeboats have been provided, locally Hope Cove (1878) had a lifeboat station built, and more recently in our sister province of Cornwall the Newquay lifeboat “Valerie Wilson” is still in service.
It’s not just about big donations, regular fundraising of any amount helps the RNLI.
Presenting the Cheque is Leader of Devon Lodge John Bird (on Left) , Lynn Spillett(Chair Torbay Lifeboat) and David Phillips (RNLI Community Engagement)and Tony Lamar the Charity Steward (on right).
Devon Lodge are looking forward to a tour of the Lifeboat station as a “thank you”, when restrictions allow.
